I have checked all the syllabus of this Civil Service Exam and now i am little bit confused with the optional subjects, sir because now i have to choose my graduation subjects for my College i want to ask u that which Subjects should i choose now in my Bachelor of Commerce degree(B.Com) for my graduation which will be helpful in my further Subject Selection from the UPSC subject Lists because then if there'll be some similar subjects with now ,it can be more helpful for me !!

Thanks

Dear Davang,

I am extremely happy to know about your noble ambition of becoming an IPS officer.
IPS officers like Jankid in Tamil nadu and Rishi Raj sing in Kerala are the role
models, both of them are from Rajesthan. I trust that you too will become a
role model very soon.

B.com is the best choice of degree for a student with commerce subject in school education . but
if you choose a good college it is better. Can you come down to Delhi and join in Shriram college
or any other reputed college. in Delhi you can meet many other ICS aspirants with whom you
can even have combined study that is always fruitful.

The newspaper, the TV news , the NCERT books etc would be extremely helpful to build a strong
base in general knowledge that is the bedrock of success in civil services examination. Keep doing that .
If the news paper articles are on important subject like ecology and environment, national police etc, cut
it and file it separately. please go through such reports often to familiarize with the subjects.
In due course you will understand what is important and what is not.
PLAN TO WIN, PREPARE TO WIN IN ORDER TO EXPECT TO WIN

Dear Devang,
There is an expectation that there wont be a optional
subject in the mains of 2017. but it is not certain if the
COMMISSION will remove it in the mains of 2016.
we will get to know from the commission only in the
month of September 2016.
But you dont bother about it now. concentrate only on GS
and CSAT now.

LIFE ATTRACTS LIFE.
