Gud afternoon sir, I'm Chethan Gowda n I wanted to become an IPS officer since from ma childhood.. But I have some doubts sir...I have problems wyd ma eyesight.. I wanted to get lasik operated n get it clarified... I recently came to know dat lasik operated person is also eligible for ips n in some other websites says dey are not allowed... Plz clarify diz doubt of mine sir... It is very important to me to take judgement about ma future sir... I hope you will reply positively.. Thank you sir...

Yes,LASIK surgery is permitted.You can find the details in appendix-III( http://persmin.gov.in/ais1/Docs/Appendix-III.pdf) page no 14.
