elimination from civil services due to colour blindness

Postby pankaj » July 10th, 2012, 4:04 pm

Respected Sir,

I am a 12th pass out and wish to appear in civil services exam after graduation.

I have read the medical standards prescribed by UPSC and found that they have a provision for testing the colour perception of the candidates who are found eligible.

As I am colour blind, I wish to know whether during the medical scrutiny the elimination from all the different civil services viz. IAS, IPS, IFS etc. can be made on the ground of me being colour blind.

Regards and Thanks,

Pankaj

Dear Pankaj,

Colour bindness is a disqualificattion only for IPS. You can still join IAS or IFS.
So, do not get disheartened, still get motivaed more to be an IAS officer.

AWAKEN THE GIANT INSIE YOU.
