Respected Sir,

Congratulations on being decorated with the Presidents Medal during the Republic day celebrations. Felt happy when I read the news article in Hindu.

I also had a chance to see and listen to you at Shankar's IAS Academy during your recently. I am not sure if you remember but you also asked me a question . Whats the difference between Efficiency and Effectiveness.

Was wonderful to listen to your session. I look forward to clear the exam within 2015 . Sir I would love to listen more on how you managed your work and exam preparation as I understand you were also working and preparing at the same time.

I am currently working in Chennai. I stay in triplicane and reach my room at 11pm, leaving me with 3-4 hours of maximum possible study time. Currently I read between 11pm and 3am. Is it sufficient enough to clear the exam of such duration and competition. I read reports of people studying for 10-12 hours daily to crack the exam which fills me with a self-doubt if I am doing justice to the time and the exam preparation.

I look forward to hear from you and to know how you managed your work and time during the preparation days.

Thanks
Jayaram

dear Jayaram,

i trust that you have applied for the prelims. since the pattern for the
prelims remains the same and since there is no need for going for two
optional s, it is going to be pretty easy to sail through the exam.
the number of hours is not as important as the intensity of the
studies you should have a mechanism of retaining the subject that
were learned, that is critical. or else whatever you learnt might slip
through the fingers,
i am sure that your strategy would work to your success.

KEEP MOVING

Dr. C. Sylendra Babu I.P.S.
