Dear Hari,

You have made the right decision. One of the executives who had similar feeling
came across my book, YOU TOO CAN BECOME AN IPS OFFICER in the city of Dubai.

He appeared for the exam and was selected for the IPS; he is undergoing the training
in national police academy Hyderabad now.

Well, your dilemma can be easily overcome. Just go through the syllabus of subjects
like psychology or pub. admin or pol. science or even geography. and chose the ones
that touches the heart.

I must also advise you that there are study material for geography, pub ad.
but if you are good in Bengali, choose that .

You can prepare for the exam while serving in the IT company . In fact i was serving as
a bank officer while writing the civil services examination.

you can clarify other doubts if any in due course.

CHANGE PLANS IN LIFE

All my friends and relatives are saying that it is not a good choice to choose UPSC now.it comes from the childhood,it is only for brilliant student not for an average student. They are saying that if i loose in this battle then my life become a question mark.

Dear Hari,

Brilliance is not required for success in any field.
But commitment is needed to enter the service and to
shine in the profession.

You can intensify your preparations and gain confidence
to clear the prelims. After passing the prelims, you can
quit the job.

As you are very much attached to IPS, give a try.

DO IT NOW.
