Dear ADGP sir,
Respectively asking you a doubt that has arisen in my mind, can a non IPS officer get a position above the superintendent of police? if so, till which level it can be possible...?

Non IPS officers , you mean group-1 officers are very crucial in the
police department. they are sometimes as meritorious as IPS officers.

20 percent of IPS officers are conferred officers. they have risen up to
the rank of ADGP in Tamil Nadu police . in some states they have even
become DGPs.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS A PURPOSEFUL LIFE.

PLEASE TELL ME THIS; AFTER GETTING INTO GROUP I SERVICES, WHO WILL NOT LIKE TO GET IPS?
but soem people will not get IPS as they would have been punished for a misdeed like corrupt practices.

please ask meaningful questions in future, this will waste your time and mine.
