Dear ADGP sir,
In a mock interview the interviewers asked a question to Mr. Varun kumar a 2010 batch IPS officer, "why IPS is your 1st preference" he replied, i got selected in to the CAPF as an assistant commandant, so if i would have get IPS i can be promoted as the commandant......my little doubt is whether the above information is possible or we should go to our allocated cadre as an ASP or ACP....?

You will have to give your order of preference while filling your mains application... Cadre will be allocated based on the marks You score... If You are the topper among the candidates Who opted for that cadre.. then You will be given first preference...

Dear Prakash,

Dharmendra's question was different. He is also right in his doubt.
Arun kumar, who was the third rank holder his answer to the board was that he will
become a commandment if he gets into IPS . This is not impossible but is practicably
remote possibility. In order to become a commandant,he has to seek a deputation from
the state government to the center and then into the CRPF

Well, arun is in Tamil Nadu now. I don't think that he is keen to join CRPF as commandant.
Perhaps he can join at a later date as IGP or ADGP.

Well, if he is so keen , he can join CRPF as a commandant.
